Entering Norrland

Entering Norrland, is the fictional story of a territory that interweaves in a newspaper my own photographs with pictures from four other sources : the archive of an amateur photographer, modern postcards, published explorer stories and pictures

from a local newspaper. The means of this object is to identify and isolate some aspects of a territory-system. Each thematic spread addresses one of this aspects : steel industry, timber industry, polar climate, sami culture, etc. The object can be read in two ways, only through the pictures in a dynamic of free interpretation or with the help of the booklet which gives informations on each of them, spinning a choral narrative for each thematic spread.
